Do I need an account to 'DocuSign' a document?

If the document you need to sign was not sent via DocuSign (e.g., as an email attachment), you will need a free DocuSign account to upload, sign and return documents online via DocuSign. With this account, signing and returning documents is always free.

If the document you need to sign was sent via DocuSign, you do not need a DocuSign account. Click the “Review Documents” link in the email and follow the easy prompts. You will have an option at the end to create a free signing account if you wish, but it is entirely optional.

How do I open a DocuSign account?

It’s simple—we offer a number of different account levels depending on your needs. A free account allows you to electronically sign documents almost anywhere, on practically any device, free of charge. It also includes the ability to send up to three documents out for others to sign. If you wish to send more than three documents out for signature or are interested in our premium features, DocuSign offers a range of plans to meet every business need.
